Scope
These Terms of Service apply when you access gPdf websites, dashboards, APIs, marketplace apps, templates, hosted rendering endpoints or related services. By creating an account, installing a marketplace app, or using the API, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself or the organisation you represent.
If you use gPdf through a marketplace such as Shopify, Stripe, BigCommerce or another approved platform, the marketplace terms and billing rules also apply. If there is a conflict about marketplace billing, installation, review, refund or app-store policy, the marketplace’s rules control for that platform surface.
Accounts and access
You are responsible for keeping account credentials, API keys, access tokens and team permissions secure. You must notify us promptly if you believe your account or API credentials have been compromised.
You may not:
- Share credentials with unauthorised users.
- Attempt to bypass quotas, rate limits, billing controls or security controls.
- Use another customer’s account, API key, template or generated artifact without permission.
- Reverse engineer, disrupt or overload the service.
Customer data and document content
You own the data you submit to gPdf and the business documents generated from that data, subject to any third-party rights that may apply to your source data, templates, logos, fonts or other assets.
You are responsible for:
- The legality and accuracy of source data submitted to gPdf.
- The legal effect of generated documents such as invoices, statements, receipts, shipping labels and compliance documents.
- Obtaining permissions for logos, fonts, images, templates and personal data you submit.
- Reviewing generated output before sending it to customers, regulators, carriers or tax authorities.
gPdf processes submitted document data only to provide the requested service. Additional privacy and data-processing terms are described in the Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.
Templates and generated output
Templates may be provided by gPdf, by a marketplace integration, by your organisation, or by a third-party designer. Unless a separate agreement says otherwise:
- gPdf-provided templates are licensed for use with gPdf services only.
- Customer-provided templates remain the customer’s content.
- Generated PDF output is provided to the customer for the customer’s business use.
gPdf does not guarantee that a template or generated document satisfies every tax, archival, accessibility, carrier, marketplace, e-invoice or jurisdiction-specific requirement unless that requirement is expressly included in a written agreement.
Billing and plans
Fees, quotas, overage rules, renewal terms and included features are shown on the applicable pricing page, dashboard, order form or marketplace billing screen.
For direct gPdf accounts, billing may be processed through the payment provider shown during checkout. For marketplace-installed apps, billing must use the marketplace-approved billing mechanism where required by that marketplace.
You are responsible for taxes, duties and charges associated with your use of the service unless the applicable marketplace or payment provider is required to collect them directly.
Acceptable use
You may not use gPdf to generate, distribute or support:
- Illegal, deceptive, fraudulent or harmful documents.
- Documents that infringe intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Malware, phishing, credential-harvesting or abusive automation.
- Content prohibited by applicable law or the relevant marketplace’s acceptable-use rules.
We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe use of the service creates legal, security, operational or marketplace-compliance risk.
Availability and support
Support channels and response targets are described on the Contact and Service Level Agreement pages. The SLA applies only where expressly stated for the relevant paid plan or written agreement.
We may update, improve or discontinue features over time. We will use reasonable efforts to give advance notice before materially reducing a paid plan’s core functionality.
Third-party platforms
Marketplace integrations depend on third-party APIs, app-review requirements, scopes, billing systems, account status and platform availability. gPdf is not responsible for failures caused by a third-party platform, but we will use reasonable efforts to maintain compatible integrations for supported platforms.
Termination
You may stop using the service or uninstall a marketplace app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, security risk, policy violations, abuse, legal requirements or material breach of these terms.
When an account or installation is terminated, audit records, billing records and operational metadata may be retained as required for security, tax, dispute-resolution and legal compliance. Document content retention is governed by the Privacy Policy, DPA and any written enterprise agreement.
Disclaimers
Except where expressly stated in a written agreement, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that generated documents will be error-free, legally sufficient for every jurisdiction, or accepted by every third-party recipient.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, gPdf is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption arising from use of the service.
Changes
We may update these terms to reflect product, legal, marketplace or operational changes. If a change materially affects paid customers, we will provide reasonable notice through the dashboard, email or the relevant marketplace channel.
