FAQ

Pricing questions, answered.

How does pricing work?

gPdf uses simple page-based pricing. You only pay for the PDF pages you generate. Templates, API access, updates, and platform features are included in every plan.

What counts as a billable page?

Each successfully generated PDF page counts as one billable page.
  • 1-page invoice = 1 page
  • 4-page statement = 4 pages
  • 100 shipping labels (1 page each) = 100 pages

Failed render requests are never billed.

Are API requests charged separately?

No. API usage is included. Pricing is based on generated PDF pages, not API requests.

Do templates cost extra?

No. Every plan includes unlimited templates. Create as many as you need and reuse them across invoices, shipping labels, receipts, statements, certificates, and custom documents.

How do API keys work?

Each account receives a single API key linked to its subscription plan and usage limits. As your plan changes, the same API key continues to work without any application changes.

How are overages billed?

If you exceed your included page allowance, additional pages are billed at the overage rate for your plan. There are no hard stops and no production interruptions.

Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?

Yes. Plans can be upgraded, downgraded, or cancelled at any time. Changes are applied automatically according to your billing cycle.

What document types can I generate?

Invoices, shipping labels, packing lists, receipts, statements, certificates, business forms, reports, and custom PDF documents. If your document can be described as a template and data, it can be generated with gPdf.

Can I create my own templates?

Yes. Use the Template Editor to design custom layouts, define your own schema, and publish reusable templates. You can also start from built-in templates and customize them.

Do templates define their own schema?

Yes. Each template can define its own fields, nested objects, arrays, repeating sections, and document structure. Your application simply sends business data that matches the template schema.

Do you support custom fonts?

Yes. Upload and use your own fonts, including brand fonts, multilingual fonts, and corporate typefaces.

Do you support PDF/A?

Yes. gPdf supports PDF/A-compliant output for archival, compliance, and e-invoicing workflows. Supported profiles may vary by plan.

Do you support barcodes and QR codes?

Yes. Built-in support includes QR Code, Data Matrix, PDF417, Code 128, GS1 barcodes, postal barcodes, and many other production formats.

Do you support multilingual documents?

Yes. Generate documents in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, and European languages — including right-to-left (RTL) layouts.

Is my document data stored?

By default, generated documents are processed and delivered through the API. Enterprise customers can request custom retention, compliance, and deployment policies.

Can I self-host gPdf?

Yes. Enterprise plans support private cloud, VPC, on-premises, and air-gapped deployments. Contact sales for deployment options.

Do you offer enterprise support?

Yes. Enterprise plans include dedicated support, priority response times, deployment assistance, architecture reviews, and custom onboarding.

Do I need HTML, Chromium, or Puppeteer?

No. gPdf uses a dedicated document rendering engine and template runtime. There is no browser dependency, no headless Chromium infrastructure, and no HTML-to-PDF conversion layer to maintain.
